**小原 政信(おばら まさのぶ)教授
昭和29年鹿児島県霧島市生まれ。昭和54年九州大学大学院理学研究科博士課程前期修了(理学修士)。昭和59年理学博士(九州大学)。東京大学医科学研究所(癌生物学部門)・助手、科学技術庁基礎科学研究員(理化学研究所筑波センター真核細胞研究室)、科学技術振興事業団プロジェクト研究員を経て平成6年広島大学理学部助教授。平成12年理学研究科生物科学専攻助教授(重点化による)。平成23年理学研究科生物科学専攻教授。現在、細胞外マトリックス分子、特にフィブロネクチンの生理機能の解明、胚発生における酸素の生理機能の解明、がん細胞の転移における間葉系細胞の役割の解明を目指して研究を実施中。この間、アメリカ国立がん研究所分子生物学部門博士研究員(Dr KM Yamada)、台湾Chang Gung大学病院(肝臓移植外科)、広島大学医学部及び岡山大学医学部非常勤講師を勤めた。昭和59年産業医科大学会長賞を受賞。2020年3月、定年退職。

**道端 齊(みちばた ひとし)教授
昭和22年石川県輪島市生まれ。昭和46年新潟大学理学部生物学科卒業、昭和51年東京大学大学院理学系研究科動物学専門課程博士課程修了(理学博士)。富山大学理学部助教授を経て平成3年広島大学理学部附属臨海実験所助教授、翌年同教授。平成15年9月より理学研究科生物科学専攻教授。この間、日本学術振興会ナポリ臨海実験所派遣研究員、米国ブランダイス大学化学教室博士研究員を勤めた。約30年前からホヤのバナジウム濃縮機構の研究を開始し、一連の仕事で平成7年度日本動物学会賞と井上学術賞を受賞した。2001年から国際バナジウムシンポジウム組織委員。2012年3月定年退職。2012年4月、広島大学名誉教授。
